Student Recruitment campaign for College entry in the new academic year.

The Client

Jewel and Esk Valley College is a leading provider of Further Education courses in Scotland, and offers a wide range of courses ranging from Access courses to Higher National Diploma.

The Background

JEVC LogoJewel & Esk Valley College has grown in profile and stature over the years with over 10,000 people acquiring vocational skills at the College last academic year. With ambitious plans for renewal and growth the College seeks to maintain high levels of course subscription while their Milton Road Campus is rebuilt. The College offers a wide range of courses for School leavers and people seeking new career directions, and this needed to be reflected in the materials.

The Solution

Campaign HQ has produced a bus, poster, radio and direct mail campaign that will maximise the exposure of the College in Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian. The second phase of radio recruitment in August was supported by a postcode targetted direct mail campaign to 130,000 households.

The Result

Courses have filled quickly and the College is seeing a healthy level of applications as the new academic year begins. Despite the upheavel of new building work on the main campus, and increased competition from other FE establishments opening new campuses, student recruitment is well up on last year.
